Easter Brunch

J used his talents to the best degree on Sunday, when he headed up the church Easter Brunch between the two Easter services.  I was so proud to stand back and watch as he coordinated items for the potluck, arranged the tables, cooked a ham, bacon, sausage, pancakes (both blueberry and chocolate chip), and who knows what else!  I so wish I had thought to take a picture of it to share with you!

Isn't it appropriate that a talent like J has for cooking should be shared (and in sharing be multiplied)?

All right, so he can cook. Enough already..., what I want to know is ":did he start out with two loaves of barley bread and a couple of fishes?"

Seriously, though: it sounds as if you had a wonderful Easter brunch. Congratulations!

I think that J needs to share some of his yummy recipes and cooking tips from time to time (like adding blueberries to pancakes without turning them blue). Can you tell what color mine are? =) Glad you had a wonderful Easter morning!!!!

Oh, I can actually answer the pancake color question--though J was the one who came up with it (of course!). Don't mix your blueberries into the batter! Just do a regular pancake batter and after you pour it out on the griddle drop a handful of fresh blueberries into the still uncooked pancake. Then, when you flip them, the bluberries stick.
